HCAS was founded in June 2003 in Nashville, Arkansas through a competitive bidding process after Howard
Memorial Hospital decided to sell their ambulance service. HCAS operates two twenty-four hour paramedic
ambulances with one back-up unit. HCAS also provides exclusive emergency and non-emergency service to
all of Nashville, and Howard County.
HCAS is one of Arkansas's leading providers of high quality emergency and non-emergency providers. In
July 2005 HCAS was selected as the Arkansas Ambulance Association's Advanced Life Support Service of
the year.
