EMERGENCY 911 SERVICE
HCAS is the 911 Emergency Provider for numerous communities in Arkansas. We provide
Advanced Life Support (ALS) service with a crew consisting of a nationally registered paramedic
and and emergency medical technician trained in state of the art pre-hospital care. Using their
expertise, our crews assess patients and have access to diagnostic tools, medical equipment and
the life saving medications needed to meet the needs of any patients in an emergency
SPECIAL EVENTS/ ON-SITE MEDICAL COVERAGE
HCAS offers on-site medical staff for special events such as sporting events, concerts and
competitions. HCAS has developed a Bike Medic program that includes a golf cart ambulance to
solve the need for a more rapid respomse at special events that are held within the community.
This program is used at special outdoor events where HCAS Staff will be on bikes and the golf
cart ambulance providing quality care to the patient within a matter of minutes and will continue
this acare until the ambulance arrives. Each mounatin bike is equipped with ALS support
equipment and the golf cart is equipped with a cardiac monitor and stretcher which allows us to
transport the patient to the waiting ambulance. HCAS staff are in constant communication with
both the County E-911 communication center and the local hospital via radio communications.
HCAS's bike and golf cart team is also a wonderful tool for public relations. Being "out and about"
in the crowds allows for a lot of positive interaction with the community and a rapid response to
emergency's in high traffic events.
PUBLIC EDUCATION
HCAS is proud to offer education to the communities we serve through the teaching of CPR,
ACLS, First Aid, AED, and BTLS classes.
