Hiring and Selection
Pre-Screening
Our hiring process begins with the pre-screening
of all applicants to ensure minimum
qualifications are met.
Pre-Employment Screening
After it has been determined that a candidate is a match for HCAS
the following employment screening will be conducted.
Background Check
Physical Lift Test
Reference Check
Driving Record Check
Interviewing
All qualified candidates are required to complete a interview session with
HCAS employees to determine if they are a match for the position.
Offer
Offers for employment with HCAS are typically made once all of the
pre-employment screening has been conducted and confirmed.
New Hire Orientation
Once offers have been accepted new employees will begin their first day of employment with HCAS in a one day new hire orientation.
Where employees will be informed about the company policy and procedures, benefits, payroll, OSHA, etc.
Employees will then began a 90 day overall training process where they will be trained on how to function on the HCAS systems.
Benefits
HCAS offers a variety of benefits to employees as follows
Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
New employees are eligible for these benefits on the 1st of the month following their 1st 90 day of employment.
Life Insurance
Employees are provided with life insurance ABD, AD&D life insurance.
PTO
HCAS generously provides time off for its employees in the form of PTO. Employees began accruing PTO 90 days
after the date of hire and are awarded PTO based on years of service.
Retirement
Employees are eligible to participate in our simple IRA plan after 90 days of employment.
Employees may contribute a minimum of 3% and employer match is 3%.
Tuition Reimbursement
EMTS with one year of service are eligible to receive reimbursements for tuition cost associated with a
paramedic certification course.
